Twins

I had the privilege of hanging out with a gorgeous pair of identical twin babies on Saturday. I was struck by a fit of creativity on Friday night and stayed up too late making these bibs. They are lined with linen with embroidered linen pockets and based loosely on the Baby Stuff pattern from Favorite Things and inspired by some of the photographs of projects in various craft books featured here. The choice of bibs as a gift was fortuitous because I found out their mother keeps them in bibs all the time to avoid changing outfits constantly after spit ups and other mishaps.

As you can see the photo was taken before I was quite finished with the handsewing portion, but I wanted to snap them before I finished in the car (talk about last minute gifts). Can you tell I am in love with this floral fabric? I am making their big sister a matching apron out of the same fabric, so I am afraid you will be seeing it at least one more time.
