Baby Kenry has clothes! Obviously, I have some picture staging work to do before my photographs resemble this amazing woman's, but you get the idea.
Edited to add: I used Butterick pattern B4090 to make the doll, but changed the face to an embroidered one rather than the fabric pen face design that came with the pattern. Pottery Barn Kids is selling similar dolls now, I like that the PBK one is made of linen. I think that would make for pleasing skin colors, rather than the plain quilting cotton I used, which turned out much too light. We're pale around here, but not that pale!
PBK also has some really cute boy dolls, I would like to make something like this with little button down shirts and whatnot. I tried to get a neat vintage pattern for something similar off of eBay this week, but those girls are crazy with the bidding! I bowed out at $11. Just in case you come across some vintage patterns - it's McCall's 5796 from the 1970's.
I would love to try to make a Waldorf doll like these from Magic Cabin Dolls or this one from Joy's Waldorf Dolls.
