Featured Crafter of the Day

I'm going to start a new feature wherein I discuss the productions of others on those days when I'm not exactly churning out the projects myself.

Today would be one of those days. Two sick kids (although one just told me that he "doesn't mind" make-up work and he should probably stay home "just in case" his headache returns - sure, whatever, I've lost the will to resist) and four new work projects due in a week on top of my regular briefing schedule. All that adds up to no creative time; thus, the first installment of The Featured Crafter of the Day.

Today's featured crafter is Rachel, a.k.a. The Fairy Beer Mother. She is not only generous with the microbrewery beer she receives in the mail (ATF agents avert your eyes) but is an accomplished knitter. Here is a photograph from last year of the sweater she made for Jack. It was a bit big then, but fits perfectly now. Its is made from Mission Falls Cotton, which has such a nice nubby texture to it.
Great knitting, Rachel!

Look for more wacky features as I cast about for something to write about during the craftless days ahead. Possibilities include: Sandwiches I have known and loved, Toilet designs of the world, Vintage crafts that need not make a comeback, and my favorite, Reasons why my dog is better than yours.

I think I should be getting more sleep.

p.s. I'm giving up the Son1, Son2, and Son3 references. I had originally thought that it would be easier for you to keep track of them that way, but I'm having a hard time remembering which one came first, second, and third (see comment about not enough sleep).
